Old Metal


Not really old but still a cool plane: the BAE-146. PSA used to fly these little guys into Concord Airport. Thanks again Picard.

It seems like when you search for classic jet liners you always end up with a picture of a Pan Am jet. I think Pan Am must be the most photographed airline. Thanks Picard for the pic!

  1. How much Flight Line do you think there is from the bottom of the shot up to the nose wheels? They sure did waste a lot of it back in those days! You can hardly find the stuff today!

    As for the other pic, the "Smileliner" or as the mechanics called it, the "Flying Feces" was a money maker for a RON mechanic who was constantly trying to maintain the integrity of the Avco-Lycoming engines. Oh well, they did have a few good points to them.
